Course Description:

The vocation of Christian ministry is rewarding, but it can be hazardous.  Due to the hazards, many ministers and church leaders either burn out or disqualify themselves from completing their calling.  This class will examine these hazards as they pertain to vocational ministry, with a goal of educating students in identifying the areas of potential personal weakness and providing resources for dealing with the complexity of ministry life.  Attention will be given to all aspects of a minister/church leader’s self, from emotional to physical to spiritual health, as well as practical ways to affect behavioral change.
